Convergys Corp. Q3 Income Climbs 4%

(RTTNews) - Convergys Corp. (CVG) released a profit for its third quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $46.4 million, or $0.45 per share. This was up from $44.7 million, or $0.42 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.43 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 1.1% to $741.6 million. This was down from $749.5 million last year.
