Consumer Reports: Samsung Galaxy S7 The Best Smartphone Ever

(RTTNews) - Consumer Reports has named the new Samsung Galaxy S7 as the best smartphone it has ever reviewed.

Consumer Reports commended Galaxy S7 and S7 edge's excellent battery life, super cameras, super-fast processors, and high resolution screens.

"These new models aren't just Samsung's best smartphones, but, perhaps, the best smartphones. And they now sit atop our Ratings," Consumer Reports said.

The phones received improved ratings after Samsung included the expandable storage and water-resistance features in these phone, which were absent in its predecessors.

Consumer Reports said the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge's main camera was "terrific" although Samsung had dropped its resolution to 12 megapixel from 16 megapixel in S6.

The phones can record in Ultra HD (4K)—videos and those high-quality images and videos are big files, this makes it more important that Samsung included a microSD slot, which can support large memory cards.

Consumer Reports confirms that the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge can handle immersion for up to 30 minutes in 5 feet of water.
