Concurrent Names David King as Chief Marketing Officer

Concurrent (Nasdaq: CCUR), a worldwide leader in real-time Linux-based computing technologies, today announced that David King has been named chief marketing officer. In the newly created position, Mr. King will be responsible for all aspects of Concurrents global corporate marketing strategy, strategic alliances and channel partnerships. He will report directly to president and CEO Dan Mondor.

"David brings extensive experience in global marketing and strategic business development, stated Mr. Mondor. "We are pleased to have a leader of Davids caliber join Concurrents senior management team as we continue to build Concurrent's global leadership in on-demand and real-time technology.

Prior to joining Concurrent, Mr. King served as vice president of global marketing for NEC, a leading provider of network integrated solutions, where he oversaw all global marketing and public relations activities, including analyst relations and channel marketing, for the overseas business units of their enterprise solutions division. Mr. King was also responsible for global product and application portfolio strategy, and was instrumental in developing strategic partnerships with Cisco and Microsoft.

Prior to joining NEC, Mr. King served as vice president of marketing for Movaz Networks, a Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) equipment provider acquired by ADVA Optical Networking in 2006, where he successfully led marketing efforts to cable and broadband. Mr. King also served as vice president of global solutions for Nortel Networks, where he was responsible for over $1 billion in turnkey solutions with Fortune 1000 accounts. Prior to his role in global solutions, Mr. King served as vice president, Americas sales and marketing, where he successfully developed new vertical markets including federal systems.

Mr. King holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Acadia University and an MBA from Ottawa University.
