Con-way Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Con-way Inc. (CNW) reported third-quarter net income of $30.6 million or $0.53 per share, compared to $25.3 million or $0.45 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Excluding items, adjusted non-GAAP net income for the quarter was $33.3 million or $0.58 per share, down from $25.2 million or $0.45 per share in the prior year quarter. On average, 21 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.62 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Meanwhile, total revenues for the latest quarter declined to $1.398 billion from $1.404 billion last year, while seventeen analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $1.41 billion for the quarter.
