Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Subsidiary Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit

The patent covers a valuable RF converting system using "daisychain" switching and eliminating the use of a centralized switchingunit. In the lawsuit, Comtech EF Data Corp. seeks an injunctionpreventing Raydne Corporation from further misappropriating Comtech EFData Corp.'s technology. Comtech is seeking unspecified monetarydamages arising from the company's unauthorized use of the patentedtechnology and disclosure of users of the infringing products.

Comtech EF Data Corp. had previously filed a lawsuit againstanother company for infringing on Patent No. 5,666,646, which resultedin that company withdrawing its product from the market.
