Comtech Results Miss Estimates; FY Guidance Weak

(RTTNews) - Comtech Telecommunications Corp (CMTL) on Monday reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $5.5 million or $0.34 per share compared with $8 million or $0.48 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $77.5 million compared with $89.4 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.37 per share on revenues of $82.6 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year 2016, the company now expects earnings of $1.34 to $1.50 per share on revenues of $300 million to $310 million. Analysts expect earnings of $1.78 per share on revenues of $353.3 million for the year.
