Community Health Systems, Inc. Reveals 86% Drop In Q1 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Community Health Systems, Inc. (CYH) reported a profit for first quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line fell to $11 million, or $0.10 per share. This was down from $79 million, or $0.68 per share, in last year's first quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.8% to $5.00 billion. This was up from $4.91 billion last year.
