Colfax Q2 Earnings Surge

(RTTNews) - Colfax Corp. (CFX) said its net income for the second quarter surged to $67.2 million from last year's $18.6 million. Earnings per share rose signficantly to 52 cents from 7 cents a year ago.

Adjusted earnings per share for the quarter totaled 56 cents. Twelve analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.53 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales for the second quarter amounted to $1.074 billion, an increase of 2.7 percent from last year's $1.045 billion. Nine analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $1.08 billion for the quarter.
