Coach Inc Q1 Income Climbs 11%

(RTTNews) - Coach Inc (COH) announced a profit for its first quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $126.0 million, or $0.45 per share. This was higher than $113.1 million, or $0.41 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.45 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.0% to $1.04 billion. This was up from $1.03 billion last year.
