Cloud Peak Energy Q4 Profit Declines

(RTTNews) - Coal producer Cloud Peak Energy Inc. (CLD) Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $13.9 million or $0.23 per share, compared with $28.2 million or $0.46 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.30 per share compared with $0.54 per share a year ago. On average, 17 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.24 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues for the quarter were $353.23 million, down from $374.83 million in the prior year, while eight analysts revenues of $363.56 million for the quarter.
