Clean Coal Technologies, Inc. Appoints Ignacio Ponce de Leon as Chief Operations Officer and Doug Hague as Senior Managing Director

Clean Coal Technologies, Inc. (the Company), a clean-energy, technology company, "fully-reporting” and listed on the Pink Sheets-QB (Pink Sheets: CCTC), today announced the appointment of Ignacio Ponce de Leon, a former Senior Advisor to the Board, as Chief Operating Officer and full member of the Board of Directors. Additionally, Doug Hague, formerly Chief Operating Officer of the Company, will now assume the role of Senior Managing Director for China, and will continue to serve on the Board of Directors. These new appointments are in recognition of the changing needs of Clean Coal Technologies as the Company continues to strengthen the executive management and pursue expanding opportunities, domestically and worldwide.

Ignacio Ponce de Leon brings over 30 years of professional experience to Clean Coal Technologies, including over 25 years on Wall Street. Mr. Ponce de Leon’s professional career began life at the National Planning Department, Presidency of the Republic of Colombia, where he worked on the Carbocol/Exxon joint venture to develop Cerrejon, one of the largest coal mines in the world. Mr. Ponce De Leon also worked in senior finance positions at firms including CS First Boston, where he served as a Vice President, Equities Research, and JP Morgan, where he formed what became Wall Street’s leading fixed-income research team covering corporations globally in Emerging Markets. Mr. Ponce de Leon achieved top rankings for several years from Institutional Investor’s "All-America” and Euromoney’s, Latin Finance "Research Olympics”. Mr. Ponce de Leon also worked at Capital Advisory Partners, where he focused on late-stage start-ups in the energy sector and he was principal advisor on smart grid technology. Mr. Ponce de Leon graduated from the London School of Economics (BSc. Econ) and from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy (Tufts-Harvard) with an M.A.L.D. degree.

Doug Hague previously served as Clean Coal Technologies, Inc.’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer before his current appointment of Senior Managing Director for China. Mr. Hague’s most recent outside position was as Corporate Vice President at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), where he directed and developed the company's international strategy and business expansion efforts which included Latin America, Chinese, and Indian markets. Mr. Hague has held senior executive positions at Xerox Corporation and Unisys Corporation. His international experience spans 35 years in regions including: China, North America, Africa, Asia, Eurasia, the Middle East, and the Pacific Rim. Mr. Hague’s prior positions have ranged in scope: marketing, sales, and the development of business strategies for global corporations within diversified fields of energy, finance and government.
