City National Q4 Profit Rises; Boosts Dividend - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - City National Corp. (CYN) Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income available to common shareholders of $53 million, or $0.95 per share, compared to $47 million, or $0.87 per share in the same period last year.

On average, 22 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.06 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net-interest income improved 1 percent to $205.45 million from $203.72 million last year, while non-interest income totaled $90.5 million, down 9 percent from last year.

City National also announced that its Board of Directors has increased the company's quarterly common stock cash dividend from $0.25 per share to $0.33 per share, payable on February 19, 2014 to stockholders of record on February 5, 2014.
