Citrix Systems Inc Profit Advances 35% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Citrix Systems Inc (CTXS) revealed earnings for its third quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $168.04 million, or $1.04 per share. This was higher than $124.62 million, or $0.75 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.84 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 7.2% to $813.27 million. This was up from $758.99 million last year.
