Christopher & Banks Slips To Q1 Loss, Trims 2015 Sales Outlook - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Specialty women's apparel retailer Christopher & Banks Corp. (CBK) reported a first-quarter net loss of $1.44 million or $0.04 per share, compared to net income of $2.62 million or $0.07 per share in the prior-year quarter.
On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.05 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Net sales for the quarter declined to $91.62 million from $103.37 million in the same quarter last year. Analysts expected revenue of $93.06 million for the quarter. Same-store sales decreased 11.7 percent for the quarter.
Looking ahead, the company expects total net sales of between $100 million and $103 million for the second quarter. It also trimmed sales guidance for the full-year 2015 to a range of $416.0 million to $423.0 million from the prior forecast range of $422 million to $432 million.
Street is currently looking for revenues of $105.73 million for the second quarter, and $426.49 million for the full-year 2015.
