Christopher & Banks Slips To Loss In Q2; Issues Q3 Sales Outlook - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Specialty women's apparel retailer Christopher & Banks Corp. (CBK) reported a second-quarter net loss of $0.7 million or $0.02 per share, compared to net income of $3.4 million or $0.09 per share in the prior-year quarter.
On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.04 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Net sales for the latest second quarter declined to $94.01 million from $106.63 million in the comparable quarter last year. Analysts expected revenue of $99.67 million for the quarter. Same-store sales decreased 12.4 percent for the quarter.
Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company expects total net sales of between $101 million and $105 million. Street is currently looking for revenues of $114.09 million for the third quarter.
