Channel One Hosts 'Teen Town Hall' with Governors of Arkansas and Tennessee; Governors Huckabee and Bredesen Speak to High Schoolers about Benefits of a Healthy, Balanced Lifestyle

MikeHuckabee and Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen at Mount Juliet High Schoolin Mount Juliet, Tennessee.

As Chairman of the National Governors Association (NGA), Gov.Huckabee leads a year-long campaign titled "Healthy America: WellnessWhere We Live, Work and Learn." As both a Healthy America task forcemember and host governor of the Channel One Teen Town Hall, Gov.Bredesen is committed to messaging the benefits of healthy living. Theforum was planned to coincide with the NGA's Healthy America Week (May1-5), a week during which participating states will join forces topromote a healthier America.

"We're facing a health crisis in America, and we need to changeour culture by making healthy living a priority. What better place tostart than with our young people," Gov. Huckabee said. "I'm pleased tojoin my friend Gov. Bredesen and Channel One as we talk with MountJuliet students about healthy habits and a healthy lifestyle that willbenefit them for years to come."

Through the Channel One-hosted 'Teen Town Hall,' students willdiscuss the topic of wellness with the governors. Teens gathered willhear first-hand the governors' perspectives and efforts to promotewell-being in schools nationwide. The forum will also includequestions from the attending student body. On May 5th, the day'sdiscussion will air as part of Channel One's daily news and publicaffairs broadcast and be accessible for viewing on ChannelOne.com.
