Cerner Corp Earnings Advance 30% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Cerner Corp (CERN) revealed a profit for its third quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $188.73 million, or $0.54 per share. This was up from $145.31 million, or $0.42 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.54 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 34.5% to $1.13 billion. This was up from $0.84 billion last year.
