Cemex Signs $500 Mln IT Outsourcing Services Deal With Neoris

(RTTNews) - Mexican building materials company Cemex, S.A.B. de C.V. (CX) said Thursday that it has entered into a multi-year deal with U.S-based IT consulting company Neoris, which will provide long-term IT outsourcing services to Cemex around the globe. The deal, valued at $500 million, covers several projects over the course of the next ten years.

Uder the deal, Miami, Florida-based Neoris will provide IT outsourcing services, such as software engineering, application development and technology deployments, for multiple projects by Cemex around the globe.

Fernando Gonzalez, Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration of Cemex said, "Neoris has delivered great value for many large multinationals, and it will continue contributing in the future development of Cemex. This agreement is a key component in Cemex's continued transformation of front office services to enhance customer satisfaction as well as driving efficiency in our back-office operations."

Cemex said it achieved the successful global integration of an enterprise platform based on SAP with the support of Neoris. The enterprise platform allows to tailor customer solutions to meet specific business needs, using technology such as mobile interfaces, fluid collaboration schemes and business-oriented social networking models.

Neoris is the largest IT consulting and systems integration company in Mexico and the second largest in Latin America, according to IDC. The agreement with Neoris is in addition to Cemex's ten-year strategic partnership signed with International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) in 2012 for business process, application maintenance and IT outsourcing services.

CX closed Thursday's regular trading session at $11.00, down $0.15 or 1.35 percent on a volume of 11.53 million shares.
