Cemex Q4 Net Sales Rise

(RTTNews) - Cemex S.A.B. de C.V.(CX) said that its fourth-quarter consolidated net sales increased 4% to about $3.9 billion from the prior year. The increase in consolidated net sales was due to higher volumes in the U.S., and in our Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Asia and South, Central America and the Caribbean regions, as well as higher prices of our products in local currency terms in most of our regions.

Operating EBITDA for the quarter increased 4% to $642 million from the year ago quarter.

During the fourth quarter of 2013, controlling interest net loss of $255 million, an improvement over a loss of 494 million in the same period last year.
