TORONTO, July 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - The Einstein Legacy Project is proud to announce "Celebrating a Century of Genius," a weekend dedicated to honouring the life and legacy of Albert Einstein by inspiring a new generation of creative and brilliant minds. The weekend, in collaboration with Lune Rouge, includes a series of events held September 7th through 10th at various locations in Montreal including: The Einstein Youth Forum, The Genius 100 Innovation Summit, and a special dinner with visionaries from around the world. The dinner will also unveil the world's first 3D printed book in the likeness of Albert Einstein. This highly anticipated book, "Genius: 100 Visions of the Future," will bring together an impressive group of contributors including Amal Elsana Alh'jooj, Yoshua Bengio, Guy Laliberte, Nancy Lublin, Rick Hansen, Chris Hadfield and Craig and Marc Kielburger.

"Einstein Youth Forum" - Friday, September 8th from 12:00pm-5:00pm

The inaugural two-day 2017 Einstein Youth Forum will showcase a "TED-Talks" style symposium, entitled "EINSTEIN Inspirations." These presentations, by visionaries, thought leaders and industry experts, will elaborate on the following prescient topics of interest and importance to students: Science & Space Exploration; Technology & Innovation; Environment & Social Responsibility; Community & Leadership; and Education & Creativity. Speakers will be chosen from among the visionaries of the Genius: 100 Visions for the Future project. Students from over 70 local and regional schools (including First Nations) will be in attendance, in collaboration with our Partner Schools: Collège Durocher (St. Lambert), Lower Canada College and Herzliah High School. An opening reception and panel discussion on Québec innovation will be held at 6pm on Thursday, September 7, at Collège Durocher, in St. Lambert, QC.

Representing one of the greatest gatherings of Nobel laureates, intellectuals, artists and scientists of our time, the dinner "Celebrating a Century of Genius" promises to inspire a new generation of creative thinkers. The celebration, hosted by The Einstein Legacy Project, is part of a series of events which commemorates the 100th anniversary of Einstein's Theory of Relativity. Attendees confirmed to date include former three-term Prime minister of Norway who also served as Director General of the World Health Organization, Nobel Laureates, the Under Secretary General of the U.N., former head of NASA, and major business leaders from India, China, Japan, Africa and beyond. Also attending are dinner co-chairs Astronaut and President, Association of Space Explorers, Soichi Noguchi, Air Canada President and CEO Calin Rovinescu, Ambassador Haile Menkerios, Under Secretary General of the UN, Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the UN to the Organization of Africa Union, Chairman and CEO of the Libra Group, George M. Logothetis. The host for the evening will be film director and writer Daniel Ferguson.
The dinner will also unveil "Genius: 100 Visions of the Future," a once-in-a-century publishing event with the world's greatest minds in fields ranging from science and technology to arts and education sharing their visions for the future in the world's first 3D-printed book. Contributors each write one page on what their vision is for the future. Genius will represent a collective vision of humanity, designed by renowned artist Ron Arad and shaped in the likeness of Einstein himself.
