Carters Inc. Reports 4% Advance In Q4 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Carters Inc. (CRI) revealed earnings for its fourth quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $73.2 million, or $1.40 per share. This was higher than $70.6 million, or $1.32 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.29 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 0.3% to $866.54 million. This was down from $869.22 million last year.
