Carroll & Co., Acclaimed Men's Retailer, Introduces "Carroll Prep" a New Clothing Collection for Young Men, Ages 8-18

LOS ANGELES, May 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Addressing the need to dress young men for special holidays and events with their signature style, Carroll & Co. introduces a new collection of fine young men's clothing and sportswear called, "Carroll Prep".

"I always felt that this was a forgotten area of the market", explains owner John Carroll. "There are so few choices on the Westside for boys to find quality clothing for special occasions."

The collection features many of the same vendors that have produced their menswear collection for almost 70 years. The line includes classic suits for boys, both in regular and trim fit styles. Traditional blazers matched with wool slacks, dress and casual shirts along with accessories such as ties and belts. "We're not trying to take over his closet. We just want a young man to have one or two outfits for a dressy occasion and a few pieces other than basketball shorts if he goes to visit grandma's house," says Carroll.

The idea has been in the back of Carroll's head for many years and his only regret is he didn't do it sooner. "When my son was young and needed a nice outfit, I had to take him elsewhere. It was a mixed bag of emotions – I loved going with him to buy a suit but I was unhappy it couldn't come from Carroll & Co."

Approaching a few of his longtime manufacturers, Carroll asked them to produce the smaller sized clothing. "We've done our best to have quality merchandise, but also taking into consideration the cost factor and the fact that most young men will grow out of these things within a couple years."

As an additional service to their loyal customers, some of whom are third and fourth generation patrons, Carroll & Co. provides free normal alterations on the garments and will even lengthen the sleeves on coats and the length on pants after a growth spurt, again at no charge.
