CACI Awarded Prime Contract on Multiple-Award Logistics Program for U.S. Army With Ceiling Value of $36 Billion

ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CACI International Inc announced today that it has been awarded a prime contract by the Department of the Army, Southern Region Contracting Command to support the multiple-award Field and Installation Readiness Support Team (FIRST) program. Army FIRST will support the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) and AMC's newly created Army Sustainment Command, as well as the Forces Command (FORSCOM) and Installation Management Command (IMC), and is open to all other Army and Defense Department organizations. CACI received one of 15 large business prime contract awards; 10 prime contracts were also awarded to small businesses. Army FIRST is a 20-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) task order contract with a total estimated ceiling value of $36 billion, to be awarded over four 5-year acquisition cycles of $9 billion in funding ceilings each. The contract represents new work for the company and a significant opportunity to expand its core engineering and logistics business.

CACI and its teammates will provide Army FIRST with a wide range of logistics support services, from program management and information technology (IT) support, to repairing equipment, providing supply management services, and managing logistics IT systems. Work will be performed at Army installations and field sites in the U.S. and abroad. Much of the work is expected to focus on planning, scheduling, and performing repairs to tactical ground vehicles and other equipment from combat zones, to return these items to full readiness. Effective repair and maintenance services from CACI save the Army time and money on replacement equipment and free soldiers to concentrate on their critical warfighting mission.
