Build-A-Bear Workshop Issues Preliminary Q4, FY15 Outlook - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. (BBW) issued its preliminary financial outlook for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2015 ended January 2, 2016 as well as initial expectations for fiscal year 2016, in conjunction with its presentation at the 18th Annual ICR Conference.
On a preliminary basis, the company forecasts fourth-quarter pre-tax income of $8.5 million to $10.0 million, down from pre-tax income of $12.6 million in the year-ago period. The company also expects revenues to decline to about $117.7 million from $131.5 million in the prior-year quarter, and consolidated comparable sales to decrease 5.5 percent.
On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report earnings of $0.46 per share for the quarter on revenues of $118.22 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
For fiscal 2015, Build-A-Bear Workshop projects pre-tax income of $16.5 million to $18.0 million, up from pre-tax income of $16.0 million in fiscal 2014, total revenues to decrease to about $377.7 million from $392.4 million in the prior year, and consolidated comparable sales to increase 1.0 percent.
Analysts expect the company to earn $0.99 per share for the year on revenues of $377.76 million.
Further ahead for fiscal 2016, the company expects pre-tax income to grow 15 percent to 25 percent compared to fiscal 2015, total revenue to increase in the low to mid-single digit range, and consolidated comparable sales to increase in the low single digits.
The Street expects earnings of $0.99 per share for the year on revenues of $391.18 million.
