Bruker Q4 Adj. Profit Tops View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Bruker Corp. (BRKR) reported that its fourth-quarter net income attributable to the company was $35.2 million or $0.21 per share, compared to $12.8 million or $0.08 per share in the same quarter last year.

On a non-GAAP basis, Net income attributable to the company rose to $52.2 million or $0.31 per share from $46.7 million or $0.28 per share in the comparable quarter last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.28 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Quarterly revenues for the fourth quarter rose 6.7% to $552.1 million, from $517.3 million last year. Excluding a 0.4 percent positive effect from changes in foreign exchange rates and a 0.1 percent net positive effect from acquisitions and divestitures, Bruker reported organic revenue growth of 6.2 percent year-over-year in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Fifteen analysts estimated revenues of $503.18 million for the quarter.

Looking ahead to 2014, the company expects to generate year-over-year non-GAAP EPS growth of 10 to 14 percent and revenue of approximately 3 to 4 percent.
