Business Editors
ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 2005--BridgeStreet Worldwide, a leading international provider of corporate housing, has swept the Corporate Housing Provider Association's (CHPA) annual "Tower of Excellence" awards, presented at CHPA's 2005 annual conference in New Orleans. BridgeStreet was awarded 2004 Provider of the Year, Most Creative Marketing Program and Volunteer of the Year, while Jack Jensky of Synergy Relocations, a BridgeStreet Global Partner, won Individual Provider of the Year. The Tower of Excellence awards recognize CHPA member companies for their achievements in a range of categories and their positive impact on the corporate housing industry.
"We made significant progress last year in the areas of technology innovation, sales growth and new partnerships, and it is particularly gratifying to be recognized within our industry for these achievements," said Lee Curtis, BridgeStreet president. "The fact that we won four out of the four awards we were eligible for is a matter of great pride. It also is a testament to our associates' and our partners' dedication, passion for excellence and willingness to do 'whatever it takes' to be the corporate housing provider of choice in the world."
"Over the years, BridgeStreet has demonstrated its commitment to furthering the corporate housing industry, both through the company's business accomplishments and its strong involvement within CHPA," said Mary Ann Passi, executive director of CHPA. "These awards not only represent formal recognition of their many contributions to the industry and our association, they also raise BridgeStreet's position as an industry leader to a new level."
As winner of the organization's "Company Provider Member of the Year," BridgeStreet was recognized as the year's outstanding company, one that has clearly shown commitment and excellence in the corporate housing industry. The award cited BridgeStreet for embracing technology and education as critical means to moving the industry forward.
BridgeStreet won the "Most Creative Marketing" award for its Corporate Housing Made Easy(TM) program. Designed to help the company build a global brand, the multi-faceted program communicated a simple, yet relevant, message to decision-makers and guests, using a consistent look and language in all communications. Its objectives were to generate interest in the corporate housing industry and BridgeStreet, to develop a sales and marketing culture that built deep relationships with suppliers, clients and associations and to expand BridgeStreet's global partnership program.
As a result of the program, the company's overall revenue increased 10 percent over 2003, its sales culture was transformed from a fragmented effort to a unified selling machine and the revenue from global accounts rose 22 percent.
CHPA's "Volunteer of the Year" award was presented to Kelly Regan, regional manager of BridgeStreet Worldwide. The award recognizes an outstanding provider or associate member who has lent him/herself to service in the corporate housing industry and/or CHPA. Regan, who joined BridgeStreet in 2002, was recognized for her outstanding commitment to CHPA as a founding member, past president and as current acting chair of the CHPA membership committee. An active member of CHPA since its inception, Regan works on group purchasing power and liability insurance for all provider members of the association.
Jack Jensky of Synergy Relocations, a BridgeStreet Global Partner, won the "Individual Provider Member of the Year" award, which is presented to an outstanding employee, executive or owner who has clearly shown commitment and excellence in the corporate housing business and the industry as a whole.
