Boyd Gaming Corp. Announces Retreat In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - Boyd Gaming Corp. (BYD) released earnings for fourth quarter that declined compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line dropped to $25.60 million, or $0.22 per share. This was lower than $44.29 million, or $0.38 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.27 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.5% to $590.83 million. This was up from $554.82 million last year.
