Bombay Promotes Steve Woodward to Executive Vice President
FORT WORTH, Texas, June 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Bombay Company, Inc. announced the promotion of Steve Woodward to Executive Vice President and General Merchandise Manager effective June 22, 2005.
James D. Carreker, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer commented, "It gives me great pleasure to announce that our Board of Directors has approved the promotion of Steve Woodward to Executive Vice-President and General Merchandise Manager for Bombay, effective today. Prior to rejoining Bombay in August 2004, Mr. Woodward served as President and CEO of Illuminations and is currently a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Woodward was a key member of Bombay's management team leading the Company's merchandising efforts from August 1998 until July 2002. He brings over 25 years of home-related merchandising experience having worked for companies including Pier 1, as Vice President of Merchandising, and Sanger Harris Department stores as well as being the founder of Bright Ideas Furniture, a small chain of fine home furnishings stores in Texas.
