Boise Slips To Loss In Q2

(RTTNews) - Boise Inc. (BZ) reported second-quarter net loss of $2.2 million, or $0.02 per share, compared to net income of $13.7 million, or $0.14 per share, last year.

Excluding special items, net income per share for the latest second quarter was $0.10, down from $0.14 in the year-ago period.

Sales improved to $621.66 million from $637.84 million in the previous year quarter.

On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.14 on revenues of $626.34 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
