Blue Coat Secure Web Gateway Solution Receives 2011 Global Product Differentiation Excellence Award from Frost & Sullivan

Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCSI), a leading provider of Web security and WAN optimization solutions, today announced that research firm Frost & Sullivan has awarded the Blue Coat^® Secure Web Gateway solution its 2011 Global Product Differentiation Excellence Award in content filtering. Benchmarked across product and execution criteria, Blue Coat ranked higher than its top two competitors in four of the five categories and tied in the remaining one.

In selecting the Blue Coat Secure Web Gateway solution, Frost & Sullivan examined the top three competitors in the market and ranked them on unique features and functionality, quality and complexity, customization, brand perception of the uniqueness of the product and matching product to market needs.
