Blackstone Q3 Profit Climbs - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Private equity firm Blackstone Group L.P. (BX) reported Thursday that its third-quarter net income Attributable to the company climbed 23 percent to $384.64 million from last year's $312.91 million.

Earnings per unit were $0.56, up 19 percent from $0.47 a year ago.

Economic net income was $834million or $0.69 per unit in the quarter.

Total revenues climbed 11 percent to $1.75 billion from $1.43 billion last year.

On average, 13 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.54 per share on revenues of $1.4 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Assets under management was $387 billion, up 7% year-over-year.

Further, Blackstone has declared a quarterly distribution of $0.44 per common unit to record holders of common units at the close of business on October 30. This distribution will be paid on November 6.
