Appointments in Bittium Corporation’s management

M.Sc. Sami Kotkajuuri (b. 1967) has been appointed as Vice President, Business Development as of May 1, 2016. Kotkajuuri has been working at Bittium since 2009. As his latest task, he was responsible for the IoT (Internet of Things) Solutions product and service area, where Bittium offers R&D services and customized solutions for companies needing wireless connectivity for their devices. Kotkajuuri will continue as a member of the company’s management group reporting to Hannu Huttunen, CEO.

According to its strategy, Bittium develops partnerships and explores M&A opportunities that would strengthen its competitiveness and increase future market opportunities. The focus in 2016 is in the internationalization and enabling long-term growth. As one of the factors speeding up the growth, the company explores inorganic growth opportunities.

M.Sc. Klaus Mäntysaari (b. 1966) has been appointed as Vice President, Connectivity Solutions as of May 1, 2016. Mäntysaari has been working at Bittium since 2004. Previously he has been responsible for Telecom product and service area, where Bittium offers R&D services for wireless telecommunication market. Mäntysaari will continue as a member of the company’s management group reporting to Hannu Huttunen, CEO.

Connectivity Solutions product and service area combine company’s former Telecom and IoT Solutions product and service areas. By merging these product and service areas Bittium prepares for the 5G mobile network technology development, where IoT (Internet of Things) plays a major role. In the Connectivity Solutions product and service area Bittium offers R&D services and customized solutions for the wireless communications market as well as for other companies needing wireless connectivity in their devices.
