Belden Completes Tripwire Acquisition; Ups 2015 Adj. Earnings & Revenue View

(RTTNews) - Networking products maker Belden, Inc. (BDC) announced the closing of the acquisition of Tripwire Inc. (TPWR), a global provider of advanced threat, security and compliance solutions.

Tripwire, a leader in security and vulnerability management, enables enterprises, service providers, manufacturers, and government agencies to confidently detect, prevent, and respond to growing security threats.

Belden said this addition allows it to provide a vital element to its customer's connected environments as they look to secure critical infrastructure from cybersecurity threats.

The Tripwire acquisition would be immediately accretive to adjusted income from continuing operations per share with an estimated impact of some $0.65 in 2015.

As a result of this successful outcome, the firm raised its 2015 guided range for adjusted revenues from $2.40 billion - $2.45 billion range to $2.565 - $2.615 billion range and adjusted income from continuing operations per share from $4.70 - $5.00 to $5.35 - $5.65. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters currently project the company to report earnings of $4.90 per share on $2.44 billion in revenues for the year 2015. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
