Beazer Homes Swings To Profit In Q4 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Homebuilder Beazer Homes USA, Inc. (BZH) said it earned net profit of $11.95 million, or $0.38 a share in the fourth quarter, versus a loss of $66.23 million, or $2.82 a share last year. On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.25 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Adjusted EBITDA was $41.5 million for the period, significantly higher than $15.1 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012.

For the quarter, the firm clocked total revenue of $438.33 million, up compared with the prior year's $370.93 million, and beat consensus estimate of $397.20 million.

Commenting on the future, the company said, ""With this positive momentum heading into fiscal 2014 as well as our continued belief that new home affordability and inventory levels will remain favorable, we expect to report a full year of profitability for fiscal 2014."
