Bazaarvoice Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - Bazaarvoice Inc (BV), a provider of social commerce solutions, on Tuesday reported third-quarter net loss of $4 million or $0.05 per share compared with a loss of $8 million or $0.10 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted loss for the quarter was $0.1 million or breakeven per share.

Revenues for the quarter were higher at $49.6 million compared with $43.6 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of $0.06 per share on revenues of $49.3 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Operating expenses for the quarter fell to $34.5 million from $37.8 million last year, the company said.
