Bank Of The Ozarks Q4 Profit Up 18%

(RTTNews) - Bank of the Ozarks, Inc. (OZRK) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $24.4 million or $0.66 per share, compared to $20.7 million or $0.59 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.65 per share for the fourth quarter.

Net interest income for the fourth quarter rose 26.3% to $55.3 million from $43.8 million for the fourth quarter of 2012. Provision for loan losses for the quarter grew to $2.9 million from $2.5 million last year.

Non-interest income for the fourth quarter fell 1.4% to $18.6 million from $18.8 million a year earlier.
