Aviat Networks Loss Widens; Stock Down 4%

(RTTNews) - Aviat Networks Inc (AVNW) said Tuesday its net loss for the fourth quarter widened to $12 million or $0.20 per share from $5.8 million or $0.10 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted loss for the quarter was $0.13 per share compared with earnings of $0.01 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $85 million compared with $109 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of $0.07 per share on revenues of $85 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to the first quarter, the company expects revenues of $84 million to $89 million, while analysts expect $93 million.
