Automatic Data Processing Q2 Profit From Cont. Ops Beats Estimates - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP), a provider of payroll services and employee-benefits administration, Wednesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $331.5 million or $0.69 per share, down from $377.0 million or $0.78 per share a year earlier.
Earnings from continuing operations, however, increased to $334.0 million or $0.70 per share, from $314.2 million or $0.65 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, 23 analysts polled by Thomson-Reuters estimated earnings to be $0.68. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Revenues rose to $2.66 billion, from $2.49 billion a year earlier. Analysts expected revenues of $2.68 billion.
For fiscal 2015, the company still anticipates full-year fiscal 2015 revenue growth of 7% to 8% and earnings per share growth from continuing operations of 12% to 14%.
