Autodesk To Acquire Shotgun Software; Terms Undisclosed - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Design software maker Autodesk Inc. (ADSK) said that it agreed to acquire Shotgun Software, a developer of scalable, cloud-based production tracking, review, and asset management software for the film, television and games industries. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

According to the company, the transaction is expected to close during Autodesk's fiscal quarter ending July 31, 2014 and have no impact on the company's guidance issued on May 15, 2014.

On May 15, Autodesk said that it expected revenue of $595 million to $610 million, earnings of $0.05 to $0.10 per share and adjusted earnings of $0.25 to $0.30 per share the second quarter. The company expected revenue growth of 4% to 6% for the full year fiscal 2015.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report earnings of $0.28 per share and revenues of $600.23 million for the second-quarter, and revenues of $2.40 billion for fiscal 2015. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
