Auris Medical Holding Q2 Loss Widens
(RTTNews) - Auris Medical Holding AG (EARS) posted second-quarter net loss attributable to owners of the company of CHF 4.99 million, wider than CHF 4.84 million in the comparable quarter last year. Loss per share for the latest second quarter narrowed to CHF 0.27 from CHF 0.33 in the year-ago period.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of CHF 0.32.
Operating loss widened to CHF 5.0 million from CHF 4.9 million in the prior year period.
"During the second quarter Auris Medical has made significant progress, both financially and operationally," said Thomas Meyer, Auris Medical's founder, Chairman and CEO. "With the successful completion of our recent IPO, we have obtained the means to complete the Phase 3 clinical development of AM-101 for the treatment of patients with acute inner ear tinnitus and to further advance our other research and development programs."
