Ashland Inc. Q1 Income Advances 178%

(RTTNews) - Ashland Inc. (ASH) released a profit for its first quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $89 million, or $1.35 per share. This was up from $32 million, or $0.46 per share, in last year's first quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 16.5% to $1.16 billion. This was down from $1.39 billion last year.
