Apollo Education Group Q2 Profit Up - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Apollo Education Group, Inc. (APOL) Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $14.6 million or $0.13 per share, up from $13.5 million or $0.12 per share in the same period last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $32.1 million or $0.28 per share. On average, 15 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.19 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues decreased to $679.1 million from $834.4 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $689.04 million.
Looking ahead to the fiscal 2014, the company has forecast revenues in the range of $3.0 billion to $3.1 billion. Analysts currently expect full-year revenues of $3.06 billion.
Additionally, the board of trustees has named Timothy Slottow as the new president of the University. Timothy currently serves as EVP and CFO at the University of Michigan.
