Apogee Q1 Profit Up 47%

(RTTNews) - Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (APOG) reported net income for the first quarter of $6.1 million or $0.21 per share, compared to $4.2 million or $0.14 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Net sales for the first quarter rose 18% to $210.88 million from $179.31 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.25 per share on revenue of $210.64 million for the first quarter.

For the fiscal year 2015, the company now forecasts earnings of $1.40 to $1.50 per share, compared to its prior forecast of $1.35 to $1.50 per share. The company still expects fiscal 2015 revenue to grow 15% to 20%.

Analysts currently expect the company to earn $1.43 per share on revenue growth of 15.6% for the fiscal year 2015.
