Apogee Enterprises Results Top Estimates; Stock Up 7%

(RTTNews) - Apogee Enterprises Inc (APOG) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $13.9 million or $0.47 per share compared with $8 million or $0.27 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were up 15% at $246.7 million compared with $214.4 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.43 per share on revenues of $242.4 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Performance was strong, with double-digit earnings and revenue growth in three of four segments, the company said.

For the full year 2016, the company expects earnings of $2.05 to $2.20 per share on revenue growth of 10% to 15%. Analysts expect earnings of $2.14 per share on revenue growth of 12.3%.

Apogee Enterprises develops glass solutions for enclosing commercial buildings and framing art.

Apogee shares were up 6.92% at $48.80 in after-hours trade on the Nasdaq.
