Apogee Enterprises Q3 Profit Rises; Lifts Lower End Of FY14 EPS Outlook

(RTTNews) - Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (APOG) Wednesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $9.7 million or $0.33 per share, compared to $8.1 million or $0.28 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.35 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales rose 5% to $199.43 million from $190.42 million last year, while three analysts expected revenues of $202.59 million.

Looking ahead, the company narrowed its full-year 2014 earnings to $0.95 to $1.00 per share, compared to the previous guidance range of $0.93 to $1.00 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $0.97 per share.
