Anywhere Real Estate Stock Jumps 46% On $10 Bln Merger Deal With Compass

(RTTNews) - Anywhere Real Estate Inc. (HOUS) surged 46.15 percent to $10.34 on Monday, gaining $3.26, after announcing it will merge with Compass Inc. (COMP) in an all-stock transaction. The combined company is expected to have an enterprise value of about $10 billion, including assumed debt. The stock opened at $11.10 and traded between $10.22 and $12.01, compared with a previous close of $7.07 on the New York Stock Exchange. Trading volume soared to 21.42 million shares, far above the average of 1.32 million. Anywhere trades within a 52-week range of $2.71 to $12.01.
