Analogic Q4 Profit Tops Estimates; Revenue Falls Short

(RTTNews) - Analogic Corp. (ALOG) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $11.2 million or $0.89 per share, compared to $11.7 million or $0.93 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the fourth quarter was $17.2 million or $1.36 per share, compared to $19.3 million or $1.53 per share in the prior year quarter.

Revenue for the fourth quarter fell 15% to $142.0 million from $166.2 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.24 per share on revenue of $150.37 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
