Anadarko Results Miss Estimates

(RTTNews) - Anadarko Petroleum Corp (APC) on Monday reported fourth-quarter net loss of $395 million or $0.78 per share compared with a loss of $770 million or $1.53 per share last year.

Excluding derivative losses, impairment charges and other items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.37 per share compared with earnings of $0.74 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $3.18 billion compared with $3.34 billion in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.85 per share on revenues of $3.79 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's sales volumes of natural gas, crude oil and NGLs totaled 79 million BOE for the quarter, or an average of 854,000 BOE per day.
