AmeriGas Partners Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - AmeriGas Partners LP (APU), the U.S.'s largest retail propane marketer, Tuesday reported second-quarter net loss of $37.8 million or $0.47 per share, compared with a loss of $34.6 million or $0.43 per share last year.

Revenue for the quarter increased to $613.2 million from $581.7 million in the prior year, on higher average selling prices.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters projected a loss of $0.39 per share on revenue of $627.65 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Retail propane volumes sold in the quarter were 215.6 million gallons, lower than 224.7 million gallons in the prior year.
