American Woodmark Q4 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - American Woodmark Corp. (AMWD), a maker of kitchen cabinets and vanities, Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $11.3 million or $0.69 per share from $5.6 million or $0.36 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Exclusive of after-tax restructuring charges, the company generated $11.2 million or $0.68 per share of net income for the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year compared with $5.4 million or $0.34 per share for the same period of the prior fiscal year. On average, five analysts polled by Thomson-Reuters estimated the company's earnings per share to be $0.57 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Quarterly sales increased 10% to $206.89 million from $188.86 million a year ago, while four analysts estimated sales of $209.69 million.
